GB: Extended chain guard. Closes 30/09/20111
« on: August 29, 2011, 02:31:49 PM »
As with our extended front fender we are the only company that is doing this product. We listen to the community and make parts that are needed.

As requested we're doing a GB for the extended chainguard but at a bigger than normal discount. Thanks everyone that has patiently waited on this. The wait has been worth it, the extension is nice and straight and you can't see the join. I will double check the length but it should be 6cm or 2.3 inches longer than the OEM version.

For the forum it will be 25% off on a once off GB for everyone that has been waiting on this. Normal retail price will be £79.95 but we are doing this GB at £59.95. We have one batch already in production but we will make this GB as a made-to-order batch (in case the 1st batch isn't big enough to cover everyone's order).

PS: I know my chain is dirty, I haven't had time to clean it yet when the photos were taken.

List so far:
1. Dodge
2. HappSV
3. Reaperman
4. Spr0cket
5. georgevts
6. 09STR
7. Spanners

Great! The 1st batch is almost sold out. We have 15 coming in. So far 12 or 13 are pre-booked (combination of forum GBs).

My 1st report back after taking the extended chainguard for a spin.

After all the flak I got about my dirty chain I got some parafin and cleaned my chain and sprocket. I then put a lot of scottoiler oil on the chain and ran the bike on a stand. It was a little bit of a mess as the excess oil ended up on my swingarm and on my driveway.

We left my home and rode for two hours doing anything from 30 to 90. I stopped 3 times to rub oil off the edge of my tire and checked the numberplate and cans in the process.

When I got home I did a better inspection. The numberplate has some spotches on it but the cans are clean. I'm off to Skye next weekend and need to sort my Scottoiler out before I go but that 800 mile weekend will be the best test I can give it.

This delay has turned out perfect as it's my birthday soon so my wife and eldest daughter (24 yo) have agreed to pay for the extended chainguard for my birthday present.

So I've accidently got myself a pair of Titax levers as well lol.

It's also nice to have a reason to play with my bike in the garage as weather is turning a bit colder.
