Just booked my ferry for the TT. £100-50 return  :028:

But I am going for the best part of 3 weeks. 22nd May to 13th June. :031:

A day later going out, or a day sooner coming back fare more than doubles. :005:

Anytime between 23rd May to 12th June incurs higher rate fares.

Entries are in just waiting for start number, will keep you informed.

If you want crossings for the TT, contact Steam Packet on Thursday as all unpaid pre bookings will be released.

I'm in serious need of some TT this year. Last year was awful.. first broken thumb with complications and then a burst disc in my back. I spent from September to January unable to stand up straight or walk more than a few steps without having to stop for a rest. Morphine hardly dented the pain. My back is now much better and I'm raring to go!! Already done 800 miles on my triple in last few weeks and still desperate for more.

I'm not calling you old and I hope I am not sticking my nose in where it's not wanted, but don't you think you should be taking it a bit easier? It doesn't sound like an adequate amount of time to get back to 100%  :027:

I appreciate the concern Andy and defo no offense taken.

I'm doing pilates and tai chi which have hugely helped with my posture and my back.

I find the riding position on the street triple more comfy than most chairs and my surgeon and physio are both more than happy for me to ride. They advised me not to fall off, which i have no plans to do. I must admit when I'm riding I'm taking it pretty easy. The good thing is I'm seeing a lot more scenery.  :002:

Good on you!
Using your back-provided it is stable-is the best way of rehabilitating after an injury. I have heard only good of Pilates and suspect Tai Chi is as good as anything for low impact flexibility exercise.
Riding a bike is good for the core strength even if going gently. :028:
If it ain't broke....fiddle with it until it is!

Just to let everyone know, we have now got our start number for the TT.
Nigel and Doug will be number 40.
Look out for us on the circuit and in the paddock.

Won't be long now.

Looks like my son and I will now be able to get out there for race week but of course so late in the day the the return ferries are booked solid thru to Tuesday :( I guess we have little choice but is there much to do/see on the island after the Friday races are over?
