New Street Triple R owner
« on: January 26, 2012, 08:58:35 PM »
Hi folks,

I'm an ex-Hinckley lad now living in New Zealand.  Bought a 2011 model Street Triple R in Matt Graphite before Christmas (Its now Summer here!) as I'd been hankering after a Triumph for ages.  Tried the Speed Triple, Tiger and Thunderbird but preferred the Street.

An awesome bike, real easy to ride and sounds the mutts nuts.  Already accessorised with Rizoma crash bungs, GBR covers, radiator guard, paint protection kit and grab rail (for the other half).

Almost completed the run-in period and have a real good smile on the dial on the way to work now....

See you around.  Oh, and come on the Leicester Tigers!!

Lovely to hear you are enjoying the Striple, as to summer, :230:. It is 4c and rainy as I post, dark when I get up and dark when I come home.....
Another month/6 weeks before any real chance to ride for fun.
If it ain't broke....fiddle with it until it is!
If I were any more "Street" I'd be homeless.

Cheers for the welcome folks.

One thing I definately don't miss is the UK winter!  Normally the coldest it gets here in Auckland is around +5 degrees.  (Houses can still be bloody cold though as most don't have central heating or double glazing!)

So on the plus side of being that little bit warmer than the UK, no salt on the roads, so less corrosion etc on the bike. Oh and of course, you can bike all year round! :-) Just gets a bit (ok a lot) wet.
