Hi Everyone!
« on: February 19, 2012, 02:02:46 AM »
Hi everyone, I'm Chris, 21, passed my mod1 at the start of Feb, got my mod2 on the 7th of march and bought myself a shiny white 2009 street triple last weekend!

Can't wait to get her out when the weather eventually decides to brighten up a bit in bonny Dundee!  :001:

Welcome Chris.  Aye, you'll be waiting a while for the weather being in Dundee there mate, haha...  I'm up the road a bit in Aberdeen.

Gorgeous bike the white Street is - that's the first one I saw that attracted me to it.  Good forum here too - you can get loads of info, but don't believe everything you hear - some people think the black is the fastest, but clearly they're delusional  :001:

I passed my test last year (old enough to be your dad though, lol) and also did my DAS on the ER5N.  The STR is my first big bike (picked it up last week) and I can say this - it's maybe easier to ride than your ER5N, as long as you know how to control your right and left hands  :038:

You certainly won't regret buying that bike as it's got all the juice you'll need for a good few years (and more most likely)  :002:

yeah the kawasaki's are easy to ride anyway, so if the street is easier then im laughing! couldnt believe how light it was when i was sitting on it.

Thats why i bought it, did a bit of research and everyone says its great for a first bike and great for a last bike  :002:

close mate, forties  :002:

Good luck with your mod 2 in March. I did same thing as you- the street was at home waiting for me to pass!! Nothing like confidence/added pressure!!! :-)

Hi Chris and welcome to the forum from another phantom black (clearly the fastest colour) :029: owner in the sunny south of Spain. The only snow we get is on the ski resort 30 mins away.

Crystal white is a very nice colour. Nicer than most of the others, but you will see over time, as you all will, that phantom black is the best and the fastest colour.
