Two Wheels Edinburgh:
As you guys know my bike went in for it's 12000 service. Here is the experience from the beginning to the end. It has been a happy resolution!!! Good job Two Wheels!!!

July 24th:
I booked my bike in as usual and asked for a spare for the day. Got there early and got a Bonnie T100 again and went to work.
Got back after 5pm and got my bike. The 12k service was done as well as the Triumph recall. The bike was filthy and not been cleaned, to be honest it wasn't clean when I gave it in but still felt it could have been given a rinse with a jetwash. Then my pet hate, I really hate it to get my bike back and my ride settings have been changed. This time it was worse, my brakes were weak, my gear lever was to high which meant I couldn't change gears properly and my brake lever was almost to the bar when braking a little hard. I know they need to work on the bike but no need to change settings. The gear linkage was taken off but did it need to be wound in?
Next day:
As I left home I braked at my normal mark and pressure for the round-about at my house and overshot my mark by 1-2 meters. Not good. That could be very dangerous in the wrong time or place.
On the way to work I stopped off at the Ford garage and borrowed some tools to set my gear linkage back to a level I could change gear again with comfort. My brake lever setting went from 3 to 6 (full) and still it wasn't right.
On the way home I decided to stop at my local bike garage. I explained to Dave what it felt like and he said to pop some elastic on the brake lever over night and it should get rid of the air. He asked what work was done and I said 12k service and gave the list of work done. He was worried that there was a lack of oil on the engine seal where it would have been split.
I was in turmoil if I should say anything to do the dealer. I went home and washed the bike from top to bottom. As I got the bottom of the front fork between the brake callipers I saw a mark on the left side. I looked again and found a chip right through the paint to the metal. I also saw scuff marks on both calliper mount a little higher up from that mark. Not sure if it was the brake calliper taken off and dropped onto the mount or a tool but whatever it was it was heavy enough to go through the paint to the metal. I was fuming!!!
Now one thing I always do before taking the bike to any dealer is take photos. One of the Scottish forum members came back from a dealer with a dent in his tank. From his experience I have taken it onboard to rather have proof than not. The feedback I have heard about Two Wheels hasn't been the greatest to date as well which meant I always take photos when the bike goes to them. So with that in mind here are the photos:
1 hour before I dropped the bike off, date and time stamp is on the camera.
I zoomed in as best I can, it's slightly out of focus though.

And after I washed and inspected the bike I found this on the left hand side and right hand side has a mark as well.

Aug 8th:
After phoning the previous day and speaking to Neil (Triumph salesman) I went in to show them the bike. Before I even tried to show the bike or argue about anything I took the camera out and showed Neil the photos and date/time stamp. TBH they didn't give it much attention but I did it to strengthen my case. Then we went outside and Neil called the other Neil the service manager.
Neil (service manager) met me outside and I explained about the brakes and showed him the damage to my forks. I also mentioned the lack of oil on the engine after the 12k service and he guaranteed me the work was done (I know my radiator cowls were of so I didn't push that further). He wasn't sure how the damage happened and I left it to him to investigate it further. He offered to get my brakes sorted out then and there. That was great to get done right away and it was much better after they bled it. As for sorting the damage out he said he will call me back.
A few days/a week later:
As promised I got a call and Neil asked me to drop the bike off so they can try and touch it up for me. I arranged to get the Speed 2011 for the day.
Aug 19th:
I got the Speed for the day while they sorted my bike out. I kept my keys as they didn't need to ride it. A bit childish I know, lol.
Returned after 5pm and spoke to Neil (service manager). He showed me what work they have done to try and fix the issue. The scuff marks were gone but I even though the mark was painted over I could still see it, I guess the Scottish sun didn't help the cause. It was out and shining onto the forks and the mark. I said I wasn't happy with the result. Neil offered me a gift voucher for the inconvenience it has caused and I thought cool. If it's £100-£200 I can leave it at that and get that on a £300 helmet (they win and I win) but they decided £50 would be the amount. Neil said the cost of the repair would be expensive. I asked how much for the part and his reply was £250. I said without hesitation for that money I want it replaced. I now know why I said it right away. The offer they made as a gift voucher felt to me like a slap in the face. I just spent almost £400 on my bike's service and I get it back damaged and not 100% back to normal after the service, now they offer me £50 for the inconvenience. This has been ongoing for close to a month.
I said to Neil that I know Two Wheels reputation isn't good on the forums and I have never had a issue with them before this problem. The reason I took the photos was because of that reputation and without it I wouldn't have anything to prove my point. I also brought a bike in that was without a mark and got it back damaged so for that I want the part replaced. He said he'll contact me back.
Next week:
I received a call and the news was they are ordering the part to replace the damaged part.
2-3 weeks later:
I haven't heard anything for a while so I thought it's time to stop waiting on them to phone and I phoned Two Wheels. Neil said he was about to phone me and they have decided to swap my forks for a set off a new bike. If I could bring the bike in the next week.
Sep 22nd.
My bike went in today and the work has been completed. The bike looks great and my book has been signed and stamped with the info of the fork change.
I feel Two Wheels although a little slow (22/07-22/09) to get this resolved has gone as far as they can to fix the issue. They could have fobbed me off at any time but listened to me and sorted the problem out. I'm very happy with the outcome and would recommend them to other bikers!
Thanks Neil for your customer service and this is one step closer to getting your name improved in the local biking community.
