The Karma thread - Earn yourself some good karma
« on: October 05, 2010, 11:49:53 AM »
I have seen this on another forum and thought it might be a good idea to try it here.

If you have something taking up space in the garage or house and would like to find a new home for it post it here. We all have thing that is worth almost nothing but we don't get rid of and every week/month/year we still see it sitting there and think to ourselves that is such a waste sitting there.  :008:

Simply rules to the Karma thing.
1. It needs to be free but postage can be charged if it can't be collected.
2. It doesn't have to be bike related but it would help.
3. Pop dibs on the post and send a PM to the person supplying it.
4. Give a thanks to the guy/gal giving it away.
5. And that's it, nothing to it.

Now go look through the garage and see if you have bits or bobs that you can't use and think someone on here might want.

My 1st post and as I am the creator here goes.

A set of passenger foot rests for a recently downed forum member. I bought them to get the passenger foot pegs so the dark bit I won't need (the bit that attaches to the subframe).

This offer goes to only one person, you know who you are. If you can use it then let me know.

On offer are an original tailtidy  (the small piece with the hole for the rear light-I think they gave me the one which accommodates the grab handle and stuck the original one in as well) and an original cover for the speedo, complete with seal (covers the back of the speedo)

These are gratuit but I will need postage from France..... (I am in the UK from tomorrow should anyone get back to me quick enough I can bring them across)

Hopefully as recognition for my goodwill the DAS gods will look upon me favourably.... :037: :037: :037:

List of parts that may help somoene! All for the R... (will update the list with what I have when I can be arsed to check the box)

Handlebars and Bar-ends.. useable for sure but the bars have a gouge out of them and the RH barend has a scuff. Not too bad. It's completely unfair to sell them as Dodge gave me a replacement set for free, so the least I can do is the same...

I would rather deliver if within 75 miles of Newbury but will post if necessary at no cost to you. - Mark (blackstreettriple) wanted these as he PM'd me yonks ago so has first dibs but if he doesn't want them then...) - Price: £FREE

Also have an official Triumph Stubby Brake lever for pennies! - http://www.street-triple.co.uk/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&topic=8457.new#new

Jay
Thanks for the offer of the free bars but alas I have managed to source black fat Speed triple bars from another member!  So someone else can benefit from your generous offer!

I would be interested in those bars. Can you take a piccie for me to see the gouge. I would like to fix it and powder coat it black.

Dodge must have seen the gouge, I'll ask him this morning if it's fixable.

Emailed you Bel to the email you had listed. I somehow don't recall it being that one but hey...

Ok so I have the full list: (all for STR)

Handlebars (definately serviceable, not bent, small gouge) - Provisionally gone to Bel
1 Good bar end and 1 scuffed one (not too bad)
Broken RHS (BRAKE SIDE) Arrow Rearset (if anyone would want to try and get sizes or make their own sort of thing..) Provisionally gone to Bel
Scuffed RHS rear pillon hanger (might have the scuffed pillion peg to go in there but not sure..)

Dibs ;)
