I was asked "why would you go to the expense of putting a Race Dash on a Street Triple track bike?"
Well I started looking for a lap timer, I’d had a play with Race Chrono and it worked pretty well, but I didn’t like the idea of riding round with my phone in my pocket.
Aim do a decent timer for £300, but it’s just a timer and the version with data logging is nearer to £500 and then you have to find somewhere to mount it.
The HM Dash is stupidly expensive, but its Plug n Play and you can fit it to pretty much any modern sports bike. All you do is change the back plate, flash the software for your model and you’re done.
I spent a couple of months stalking eBay for one, but there were no bargains to be had… so New was the only option. I chose to buy it through Motodex

Motodex were an absolute pleasure to deal with. Tony the MD sent me his mobile number and said ring if you have any setup issues, crackin customer service.
The dash arrived in about a week.

It just worked, no drama, no button pushing, no manual to read through, just turn it on and brum !! job done !!
Is £800.04 too much to pay for a bit of bling? Probably, but it is a stunning piece of kit and every time I sling a leg over the bike, it’ll make the smile that little bit bigger
