I'll wait until I can get out for a decent ride to see if it was worth it.
When I first got my 675R the suspension was so hard it used to bounce my feet of the pegs and jar my spine. It got to the point where I was about to get rid of it. Anyway, I moved the suspension back to Comfort and now love it. Hasnít made any difference, to me anyway, on how she handles but is so much more comfortable to ride. Itís still not soft, just takes the edge of the bumps on our #### roads.  :028:
Over the hill. Loves bikes, music & family. Not necessarily in that order

A sad day today as I had to ride escort along with a mate at the head of the funeral cortege for a biker who has handed his leathers over to St Peter.
Trickling along at 12mph, on the  Street, riding side by side, is difficult but doable and all the sets of traffic lights were green !

The lockdown has severely curtailed a lot of activities,  funerals included, it's really good to have 30 bikes out but just two today, can't even stop for the service..? Not good.

Don't forget the tire pressures. On my RS the manual says 2,9 bar (42 psi) for the rear - I don't know why but I guess it's for a heavy rider plus pillion and luggage. Way way to hard for my 75 kgs. Now I run 36 psi front and rear on the M7RR's, much better. YMMV etc.

Dave Moss's take on tire pressures:

Enjoyed an epic ride from Settle to Hawes, up to Hartside then back down via some of the most incredible B roads imaginable. Blue skies, warm sun and empty roads = bliss

Great photos Typhon and, clearly, a great ride.  If you can remember the road numbers and/or your full route, can you share them?   It might be useful for others that are within reach to give them a go, too!!

Stay safe.

Regards,

Adie

Yesterday took mine in for it (slightly late 12K service) and new front brake pads courtesy of Triumph.
Clean bill of health for my bike at 15K miles, headstock bearings fine and re-greased, rear suspension bearing fine and all re-greased, Valve clearances all well within tolerance, throttle bodies balanced (spot on) pictures of the work done provided (no one allowed in the workshop currently). Comment form the technicin is you've got a good un there and it's been very well looked after  :001:.

While it was being serviced they 'lent me the 2020RS so I had a bit of a play around on it (it was really far too hot yesterday, must buy a vented jacket and gloves) and good as the new one is I won't be changing any time soon (see my other post re 2020 vs 2017 RS, which is a change from my original thoughts form late last year.

Anyway that's me and the bike happy for another 12 months/6k miles  :001: and still very hapy with my dealer Youles of Manchester  :001:.

Hey Adie, no probs. Picture below. Route was:

From Settle head north on the B6479
Turn right onto B6255
Left onto A684 At Hawes
Right onto B6259
Right onto A685 a Kirkby Stephen
Left onto A66 at Brough
Exit for Temple Sowerby
Through Temple Sowerby then right onto B6412
Right onto A686. Follow up and over Hartside
Right onto A689 at Alston
Right onto B6278 at Stanhope
Right onto some unnamed road
Left at the end of the road
Join the B6277
Right fork onto B6276 at Lonton
Smile all the way back to brough

My SD card was full just after Hartside so I didnít get any pics of the second half but it was amazing. Just watch out for sheep
