Took the pax footpegs off.
Had a quick look under the tank and discovered a K&N air filter in there  :018:
Stuck a clear tank protector on.
Sorted out some dodgy back brake electrikery (turned some nasty soldering and LX tape into decent crimp connector splitters).
Did the '12 min tune'.  (No idea if it actually does anything or just a placebo but it can't hurt, can it?)
Cheers, 2

Heated grips came today, so looked at fitting them.  Not only does the supplied bracket look gash, it doesn't fit because of the mirror socket, so I made my own.

Just need to put the grips on and wire it all up now!

Decided Iíd had enough of the ram mount handle bar brackets that come with a satnav, and didnít want to pay for the Triumph official mount, so I found this on RAMís own website and popped it on today. I think itís a really neat way to mount a sat nav and it fits perfectly on the Street Triple bar clamp

Not been out for a week, still haven't but today my R & G front mudguard extender arrived so fitted that.
Massive amount of tyre clearance now compared with the previous no name extender.

The 765R went in for its 1st annual service ( well not really Today - it was Monday). Just an oil/filter change and scan and check... £242 which seems a lot for an oil change but seems to be the main dealer price ( other experiences?)

It was done at Lings, Ipswich and they gave me a T120 Black as a loan for the morning... went for a 50 mile run on it and, once I got my head around a totally different riding approach, was quite fun.  :028:

It's definitely not the agile steed that the Triple is but boy that 1200 has some low down grunt. Riding around at 2500 rpm was a bit odd at first but that's all you need. But a 7k redline... what's that all about ??  :008: :008: :008:

As a change it was definitely interesting and it did put a grin on my face playing with the available torque. Pulling tree stumps shouldn't be much of a challenge!

But it did re-affirm just how damn good the Street Triple is --- I'm definitely not ready for anything else yet  :028: :001:

Cheers

 :028: Bargain :-)
... well relatively anyway.  Oil and filter and oil disposal came to around £50 so the rest was labour and VAT.

Don't get me wrong... Lings seem a good shop and I've had my last 3 bikes off them over 20+ years but oil change and plug in the OBD reader and laptop surely can't take £150 odd.

Hope they do a good job on yours :028:
Cheers

I shall see.  Itís only really going to them for the stamp for warranty purposes and to get the firmware updates and Brembo pad recall sorted.  I think the brake fluid change also is included which I canít do at home due to not having the computer to bleed the ABS.

Iím more than happy doing my own oil service at home that would cost me £50 in parts, so it still feels expensive!

Fitted a tail tidy, removed the pillion pegs (put the blanking plates on), the arrow can. And a BMC air filter
All good. Bar the service light has now come on?
