Yep that's what I took away from that post.

Strange that my business model is carbon fibre for Triumph models, it's even in my company's name so then to be told to do something else other than what I specialise in is a bit odd.

But you never know he might decide to try and make something himself and invest his own money into a product that might be a success or fail. I'm waiting with bated breath to see what he comes up with. But as he was yawning I hope he gets a nap in before hand. Don't going into these ventures tired and exhausted, that will come later on when the stress and anxiety kicks in of trying to make a success of your products.

Not sure what that has to do with offering up a discount on safety kit from these suppliers as I do most years before the season starts.

As for designing new parts for the bike. Do you know how much has to be invested to design, fabricate, test and produce these parts? If you get it wrong then you've sunk thousands into a design people don't like and it doesn't sell well. How do I know this, I've lost that on a few designs over the years and still sitting with some stock that won't shift. I'm not throwing money into a bottomless pit unless I'm sure of things.

You can always spend your hard earned money and come up with something and approach some companies to make it.

As for me I'm working on a few already and once again will throw my hat in the ring when it's done. I do have the biggest variety of carbon parts for Triumph models after all as that's what I specialise in.

Now back to the original topic.
how about a race belly pan, especially as they are now racing the 765 ,I have one made by a French firm but it's not great and my exhaust is side mounted higher up like on the moto2 bike and the possible production bike that's in mcn this week, that could be a good seller ,my one does not use stock header mount points as its decatted and I think the design could be improved a lot

James can you send me some photos so I can see I can get a idea what they did. Will have a look at it but currently commited to 3 other parts being fabricated.

no worries pm me an email and I will take some photos tmw,if you look up 765 race belly pans you will see the one I have but the quality is poor ,I have reinforced it and sprayed it Matt black ,they were made to accommodate the oem and arrow box underneath plus as oil catchment but without the box underneath they look xxxx,on mhp exhaust face book you will see a few of the 765 race bikes plus my black bike with no belly pan on it to give you an idea, plus with the new 765 Daytona coming I am sure a lot of street triple owners may like decat headers with a higher mounted exhaust so the space underneath the bike will still need addressing with a nice belly pan!i will send you a few pictures showing the mounting points ! Let me know what you think

Cool I'll check it out in deed. Just something that I did pick up over the years while I was track side and in the pits in Scotland. Racers don't have money for fancy bodywork and it's the last thing they spend money on. Not sure how much of a market there is tbh.

His bike looks great but it is completely race spec
