Did you get a new battery, as this is well worth doing regardless of the one you haves charge.    :028:

Has the battery ever gone flat / been run flat, if so, get a new one IMO to save any heartache unless you can test the CCA of the battery with a suitable test device  :028:

Just be aware that batteries that go flat can be damaged and don't ever achieve the same CCA again, so starting "capacity" will always be down on a well maintained battery.....up to you, but a lot of us here have learnt the hard way  :028:

Agreed. Include me in that group. Batteries are cheap compared some other bikes I've owned but they really do seem to have hissy fits and give up with very little provocation.

Whilst were on the topic. 2014 Street Triple R 26,000 miles, original Yuasa battery (5 years old) never once have I had battery troubles...
Tested CCA a few times and its reporting higher than stated on the battery. Always has done.

Your clearly looking after your battery. Is it on a smart charger when at home  :027:

Mine is on a smart charger now. I'm hoping it will make a difference in the long run. I also have a 20year old ER5 Kawasaki which always starts and is still on the same battery it had when it arrived five years ago. I have no idea how old it might be. I've never had it on a charger, but I am thinking of using one this winter for a change.
