Mirrors
« on: December 04, 2019, 11:15:42 AM »
Hi

Can anyone recommend some decent mirrors to replace the awful stock ones (Striple S 2017), which give a great view of my elbows. Don't really fancy bar end mirrors.
Are the stock mirrors easy to remove - e g any thread lock ?

Many thanks !

I bought some cheap extender / riser things to throw on at some point. I had a quick try yesterday but it did seem to have thread lock and I havent had chance for a good go yet.

I got some extenders & they were easy to fit. Can't remember if the mirrors had thread lock originally but I didn't use any on the extenders or mirrors so I had max easy adjustment. No probs with them working loose once done up tight but did carry the allen key under the seat just in case. Pity the stock mirrors are so carp & the extenders are not things of beauty!

I fitted a set of OEM mirrors from Ebay from a 2012 Speed Triple to my 2015 Street Triple.

The part numbers are T2060019 LH and T2060018 RH - the mirrors fit earlier Street Triples and Tiger 800s.

They fit straight on and are very adjustable with good rear view.
