765 RS Sprocket/Gearing change
« on: December 10, 2019, 01:49:19 PM »
Hello All

I am finding that all of the power is at the top end of the rev range and I hardly get to it. I have read that getting a front sprocket and a rear sprocket (smaller and bigger) will change the gearing; more low down power.

Has anyone done this to their 765 RS? I would be interested to have you opinion.

I know 765 R is more suitable for the road, but I went with the RS because of the improved brakes and suspension.

Thanks

Two up on the rear. It's enough.
Can't say I've had issues with my RS as it will plod along at town speed in 3rd like that.
OK yes it's interesting when you do go +6k

just go one up on the rear , but you will probably only find two up rear sprockets available I did look in to this myself a while back but ordered the wrong sprocket and chain was a solid rivet type that local bike shop was wary about so left as standard, I did try various front and rear sizes on my last triple 675 and found one up on rear best , in the new year might have another go at my rear sprocket.
