Wheel paint
« on: March 26, 2020, 02:23:19 PM »
Hi, does any one know the nearest Gold paint code to the Wheels on my 2012 street triple r.
Went to Triumph dealer and they said they dont have the paint code for Gold,  just other paint.   :(

Hi LB,

If nobody comes up with an answer to this, how about a call to Triumph to request the RAL number of the paint? I've heard that they are usually quite helpful?

Steve.

Ps. If you do get this info don't forget to post it here for all to see.

Hi LB, sorry if I wasn't clear. I saw that you have spoken with your local dealer. But I meant for you to speak with customer support at Triumph Hinckley.

Another option - I had to match the "gunmetal grey" colour of an old Yamaha frame a few years ago. I went to a decent powder coating company & they had 100's of colour samples. So getting a very good match didn't take long.

Once you have the RAL number (paint code) you can then go either paint route or powder coat route.

Just to say, Triumph Technical didn't have a colour ref for the 2009 frame and I seem to recall they had no colour match for the early gold wheels. Its worth asking them about the 2010 onward gold wheels....the other thing to do is to get both gold wheels redone in fresh gold at somewhere like Lepsons... :028:
