Hi all,

Just thought Iíd hope on and say hello. Recently brought a 2015 Triple. Had only covered 1800 miles from new. Will get some pictures up after Iíve given her a good clean.

Great bike and canít fault it currently.

Hey Oneale90!  Hello, good morning and a very warm  :401: to the net's best for all things Street Triple!

1800 miles in 5 years?  That's almost tantamount to criminal negligence.  Mind you, I've got bikes that have covered even fewer miles than that in the last five years - but they have been in storage whilst house renovation and construction have taken priority so there could be a very good explanation for that kind of rarity!

"Near to Coventry" ........ the National Motorcycle Museum, Meriden (the known centre of [my] universe and Hinckley ...... ah, a good spot to be!

So, it should be clean by now - where's the photos?  :001:

Enjoy that new toy and stay safe.

Regards,

Adie

Thanks for the warm welcome Adie!

As promised, here are some pictures of the bike. I'm sure there will be plenty more to follow.

Looks like a minter and very original, I might spark controversy here but with the low miles itís probably on original tyres....check the markings on them for the date they were made ie ď0915Ē would mean the were made in the 9th week of 2015, some say 5 years is the lifespan for a tyre.

With you on that JB. Already got some new tyres on order, along with the relevant bits for a service.

And you weren't far off. 09/14 is the date stamp !

Nice one Josh - that is truly 'immaculate'!

I've no wish to start any kind of argument here but, if I were you, I wouldn't necessarily rush to discard the tyres.  If the bike has been stored in a reasonably stable environment and out of direct sunlight; hasn't stood on bare concrete or got any signs of sidewall cracking or deterioration, and shows no signs of flat spotting then don't worry too much about it.  Get out, ride it and get the use out of the tyres on it.  Even tyre manufacturers consider a new tyre to be 'fresh' if it's up to 5 years old.

Ride it now and change them over winter if you're really bothered.
