Front mudguard extender
on: October 17, 2020, 11:34:01 AM
Anyone know where I can get a front mudguard extender for a 2014 675R?
I bought one last year but when I tried fitting it I got the impression it's for the earlier model...
I've seen them for the earlier model, the 765 model & the 675RX,but no luck finding a extender or a longer mudguard for the 2014 bike.
Any ideas?

Evening Triple fan,
R&G do a half decent one which I fitted to my 2014 STR a few months ago. Itís good quality, looks great, but the fit wasnít perfect. It came with four plastic rivets but only three would seat properly, so I had to top it up with some adhesive and sealant. However, it hasnít shifted since then, so all good touchwood. Hope this helps

'The fit wasn't perfect'
The extender I bought was a R&G part, it fitted so poorly I thought it was for the previous generation bike!
At least I now know it will fit & stay on, time to get back in the garage & do some persuading...
My other thought is to fit a mudguard from another set of forks but I don't know which other bike's mudguard can be adapted to fit the 675R.
Thanks for the reply

Bel doesn't do these does he ?
Have one of his extended front guards on my 09 STR and STILL waiting for a problem to arise.

I've just checked his website & yes he does sell them. I'll get one ordered later, thanks for posting.  :762:
