Tapping into ACC power under the seat
on: November 19, 2020, 09:04:28 AM
Hey guys,

I'm trying to install a dash cam on a 2014 Striple and I'm completely lost regarding the acc power tap in.
The kit has got three connectors, positive and negative going straight to the battery terminal and then the acc cable, so that the camera powers only with the ignition on (and doesn't drain the battery otherwise).

What would be the best location to connect the third wire?

I was thinking about the license plate light but not sure which cable that is...

Any help would be appreciated.

Horn is usually a good one to tap into.

I've got a 2014 bike & fitted a LED voltage indicator, picked up a switched live from the the rear light.
