Swing arm pivot caps
on: November 29, 2020, 04:29:47 PM
Hey everyone. I removed the covers on my 2019 STR so I could put in on my ABBA stand however now for some reason the little cover things wonít go back on?!? Well the right hand side goes on just fine but the left is a no go. Am I being really thick here!?

I find them a bit of a pain when I do the same thing. You might just have to keep trying. I think the rubber on mine has become a bit misshaped from having to keep tightening them

I wont bother refitting them to my 2012 one....the earlier bikes never had them anyway. Just leave them off and squirt a little grease on them IMO

The rubber sleeve is the culprit! Try unscrewing it a bit. It needs to be just right so the screw compresses it. Or jus ditch it and find a suitable sized rubber bung if you want to cover the hole.
