Just to finish my question. As Mpact said the Lonelec cable connected to my android phone and the TuneEcu app works fine. The instructions must be followed to the letter. On my first attempt I didn't press the connect button on the phone app and I got no readings, I thought it would connect automatically but I had missed part of the instruction.
The biggest faff was supporting the tank to the side of the bike to allow the engine to run while adjusting the throttle body screws to balance them up.

Hello,
Can anyone tell me if the TuneEcu android phone app (I don't have a laptop) will connect to my 2011 via Bluetooth or does it need to be a cable being an older model bike?

I bought this cable from Lonelec for a 2011 ST R.

Haven't remapped yet but have read the ECU map, cleared error codes, balanced throttle bodies and tested some systems. All work great. Unless the bike is stated as Bluetooth only I would always go with a cable option.

Good to know.
What's the reason for your change map?

2 reasons.
1. I found I was running the arrow 3 into 1 map (20591) on a standard exhaust ( left from previous owner).
2. I have some new cans being delivered next week and wanted to get used to the remap procedure before they arrive. I'm going to install the Triumph aftermarket map (20589) and see how they run...

Plus I just like tinkering!

It's good to tinker😀
I've yet to ride the bike I bought, I'll find out how it runs on the way for an MOT tomorrow.
It has Triumph off road silencers and I'm hoping any necessary remapping has been done or I'll be tinkering too.
