Special pipe refitment tool/s

Well I took the header pipes off, and bugger me sideways they didn't fit back on again.   Never has this problem last couple of times.

So the centre pipe was too far over and outer too far in.  Odd.

Let's see if I can post a picture.  If not the concept is a long hose clamp (jubilee clip I think brits call them to pull one side in. And a block of wood as a wedge for the other. :008:

Wouldnt want to put too much stress on the fittings.....so why the movement  :027:   BTW those silver looking Jubilee clips went out of fashion in '77  :007:

No idea why they moved, but for love nor money could I refit them.  This worked.

I would still call them jubilee clips  :187:

I had them electro polished the time before.  This time the sump was leaking out the water pump pipe out the front.

 Needed to drop the sump to ensure pipe engagement and clear water hence pipes off.  Odd that they had moved this time and not before. 

Internal stress of some sort.  Hadn't scraped them so not like I deformed them dropping off a gutter.
