Repair heat damaged belly pan ideas
on: April 02, 2021, 01:22:30 PM
Hi People,

Hoping to find some ideas how to go about repairing my 2011 675 heat damaged belly pan? As you can see from the pics it's in a pretty sorry state

Thanks - Nick

That looks pretty bad. Maybe with some applied heat you could get it back to close to original shape. It would probably need a skim of filler and then respray to look presentable.

The problem would then be how to prevent it from distorting again. You can buy the heat protection sheets from people like Demon Tweeks to stick on the inside, but no guarantee that would work. Is that damage from a standard set of downpipes or something non-standard?

I would be looking for another bellypan myself. 😉
