dont fret - it resets after 30-60 seconds.
With passive arming I have no problems

Just a quick one Mort, if you are going to install the alarm yourself, have you considered buying a used one? In the UK the Triumph alarm is 279 to buy from a main dealer, i managed to pick one up off a 2010 Daytona (direct fit on the street triple) for 50 including postage so saved myself a fortune.

Steff... Red posted a link on the first page. Thanks a bunch for the offer though.

Deano... I will try and look for a second hand one down this way. They cost about 315 Pounds in Oz. So a fare whack. That's money that can be spent on other mods :)
