How to correct speedo with ecu tune?
« on: August 14, 2013, 05:46:30 PM »
Searched for this and I'd just like to confirm how it works;

1. Connect laptop, start ecu tune.
2. Save the current map.
3. Click the speedo parameter (bottom left) and enter -6.0 (standard ST).
4. Load the appropriate new map previously saved on lappie (if required).
5. Do the TPS thingy, whatever it's now called.

Correct?

Hey mate,

Did you end up confirming this at all with anyone else? Also, if I'm keeping the existing map (i.e. Standard MAP) do I have to save it and re-load it? And finally, what's the TPS thingy?

(sorry hadn't seen this before sending you the message)

It was a while ago but ISTR that was basically it.

Probably worth saving your existing map just in case, and its a very small file.

TPS reset - Tuneecu has a TPS box which goes green allegedly to set a reference for the TPS - after loading a map you start the bike without touching the throttle and let it tickover until it shows green. However other posters say it doesn't do anything and I didn't bother, seems to start and run absolutely fine.

Found this on the TUNEECU Website...

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!

And by the way, when making the throttle adjustment does the engine need to be running or not?

Cheers,

JB

One last thing though, what do you mean with standard ST on step 3?

Thanks mate

As in ST or ST R  with standard gearing/sprockets.
