Don't get me started on 10a  :001:. What a disaster. On top of Operation Brock, Operation Stack and the long sections of new hard shoulder-less 'Smart Motorways' near Maidstone I'm going right off Kent's planners. (At this point I'm hoping you're not one of them and how I can backtrack if you are). But anyway, not far from 10a I suppose, but not right on it. Not sure why I'm being coy, I wasn't doing anything wrong!

Rode out to the coast, in the sunshine, then it started raining and the beast is dirty yet again!

Remembered I had heated grips before I set off this time  :087: still doesn't help the fingertips though :001:

Today I mainly checked the valve clearances on Streety.

That bike (Gen 1) is not made for maintenance.

Much swearing as I struggled to get the feeler gages under the cams.

Tomorrow will be mainly balancing throttle bodies.

Managed to get out today with a couple of the lads, three triples in all !
Street, Tiger and a Benelli Trek 1130.
Full wet kit on today and only a few degrees above freezing certainly hones your road craft a little !
130 miles, and two and a half hours, of rain soaked, mud laden roads to Milnthorpe and Sue's Cafe in the Square for a tremendous Breakfast Barm and a welcome hot choccy... :008: long way to go for brekky but it has to be done !

Slipped a bit here and there but the Street was as sure footed as any bike I have ridden, couple of quick blasts on a section of motorway too returned 56mpg, 80mph, according to the trip computer  :087: even if it was 10% out the improvement over town riding mpg, once on the open road, is tremendous.

Downside, erm, none, .........assuming you discount the full bike clean up required once home ! :003:

Fitted a tail tidy and bar end mirrors, then out for an hour or so. Met again a fellow Street triple owner from round the corner and exchanged numbers
