Oulton park track day novice group
« on: June 12, 2015, 10:08:02 AM »
A honest track day video from Oulton park this week
No late braking as I lost all front brakes in the first session then they came back as soon as I got into the pits , some real nice guy bled and changed all the fluid for me but I was none the wiser why it happened till the ride home and the front started grinding ( I suspect some pad material fell out ?)
I make a good few mistakes and pass a few bikes , get passed a lot by some quicker guys but had a great day
if anyone is booked on at Oulton this might help you learn the track a bit

Cracking footage, and a nice day, I'll hopefully get a chance in the future, i've only been on a track once, so nowhere near your level, but we've all got to start somewhere.

Bloody fab timing, I've never been there, I've booked a twin day 7&8th July on the RX, so that footage will help a lot, cheers :)

That's was my 2nd full track day , quite a few mistakes mainly incorrect gears into corners and still learning the lines
But did have a few moments

Looks a long lap, you were up in the 10k+ range a lot and doing around 2m 20 laps, looked great, I can't wait, thanks again.

PS Where did, and how did you mount the GoPro, I think I'll buy a Hero4 Silver.

Yea I did time my laps on playback , I am sure I could of been faster had I not had the brake failure in the first session playing on my mind
I use this mounting system , the hero 4 silver is great , highly recommend it
mount by ultimate addons

This doesn't seem to fit mine, the ball is so close to the bars that I can't get the large nut over the ball, to allow me to screw the top plate on.

don't allow the mount to slide fully into the yoke , tighten it with a bit hanging out like this

Nice vids Stew, like the noise your bike makes, it revs pretty easy :028:

thanks mate , I needed to keep the road baffle in for the day noise testing , it revs a lot better without it
