Compensation
« on: March 14, 2018, 09:09:17 AM »
As some of you know I had a bad accident in Nov 2014. I have finally accepted a offer of compensation from The London Ambulance Service insurers. This was the first time I have done this. My advice is to get a really good Solicitor, mine were no win no fee but experts in high settlements. They worked hard and put a lot of money into medical reports from experts - their bill to the insurers is 30-40K. Also do not accept the first offer, I turned down the first one and the insurers upped it considerably. Also I did not rush into a settlement and delayed a bit because I felt my knee was not right and so it was recommended that I had the metal work holding the femur together above the knee removed. Which gave me the movement back in the knee. But that added a year to the process, but worth it.

Whilst compensation is good, not having to go through an accident in the first place is not worth it.

I remember visiting you in Hospital just after your op.........well not a nice site

The best thing was having a very good surgeon and physio and the hard work you put in and the care of Kim too.

See you soon for a ride and catch up........
