2017 Street RS from Arrow to Yoshimura
« on: October 04, 2017, 02:15:08 PM »
Thought i would let you know all my details and info on this transformation.

I had my Arrow fitted when i bought my 2017 RS from Triumph 4 months ago. Was told it was a US version Arrow as it had removable baffle and also bike was re-mapped for that particular exhaust.

Triumph offered me the Yoshimura for 500 and was told i would get at least 400 for my Arrow on eBay, which i did manage to sell for 450!! So Triumph offered to remove old Arrow and fit the Yoshi for free, so all it cost me was 50 to have this new exhaust fitted.

I have had the Yoshi fitted with no baffle and it sounds amazing!! Finally, when you open the bike up you get a real racing sound!
Certainly recommend this exhaust and speak to your local dealer.

Too bad I haven't seen your auction, I'm thinking about getting the Arrow fitted, but the cost is just crazy.

The looks are a personal thing but the yoshi sounds the best imo.

Hi to you all,

just got a US Arrow can in mint condition, only done 500 miles, off Ebay for 270.

Fitted it mid week without the baffle, ran the bike for 12 minutes as per Triumph UK instructions  -  yes I know some people say to have it re-mapped BUT this is what Triumph UK told me !

Have not taken the bike out yet, but it sounds quite a lot deeper ticking over in my garage.

I to have fallen I love with the Yoshi Alpha T, but I was a bit worried that it may be too loud and be a magnet for the boys in blue.

So as I have grabbed a bargain, I thought I'd give the Arrow a try first as it is probably the quietest exhaust of the current bunch.

Keep us all informed how you get on with it, eg. throttle response & any flay spots in the fueling.

Regards,

Hi there,

nice to hear your thoughts on the Yoshimura Alpha T.
On a scale of 1 to 10 of loudness,  if the original silencer was a 4,
what would you say the Arrow with no baffle is
and then the Yoshi - cannot remember if you have the baffle in it or not.
The Yoshi must be pretty loud when your mate with a full system can hear you !
Look forward to your info again

It seems like the UK spec Arrow exhaust for there 765 STs is a waste of money. I have the Arrow on my 2014 STR and I feel the sound is close to perfect.

Personal taste, but I don't think the Yoshi looks anywhere near as good as the Arrow can.
