agreed. i prefer the dark mode almost all the time. I remember a few sunny moments when the high contrast was useful but in that case i can turn it on if needed.
I think this is designed from the security perspective to not to blame Triumph causing some serious problems or dangerous situation related to unreadable dash..

Where is the sensor?  I'm going to do it on mine as i prefer the black.  Annoying you can't set it for that only.

Left hand side of clock you can just see a black dot if you put your finger over it it chages to dark after about 5 seconds. I cut a small bit of black tape about 6mm square and covered it up. You can't notice it.

This annoys me too.

You can fix it with the white background or have it auto switch but you can't fix it with the dark background.
