Eurotunnel - Le Shuttle
« on: July 09, 2018, 08:21:14 PM »
Hi Folks, I'm over to France on the Eurotunnel this Saturday, it's my first time using it.

Will I be able to just ride to it, buy a ticket and continue with my journey or must I buy a ticket in advance?

I'd like to buy when i arrive so that I don't A) Start panicking because I'm running late or B) Sit around for ages because I made better time getting there than anticipated.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

You can just rock up and buy a ticket. I guess its just how busy they are at the time.

You can get a flexi ticket, although on my return once i got there a bit early and the machine said did I want to go on an earlier train.

To be fair theyre pretty good if youre late. You get a couple of hours grace depending on traffic volumes. Not sure on the prices if you just rock up (we used to in the car but my ex worked for them and it only cost us a quid lol!)

Have fun the French roads are great we are planning to go very soon.

Andy.
