Balancer cover
« on: August 08, 2018, 04:20:56 PM »
So it looks like my striple has a leaking balancer cover.
Question is, do I need to drain the oil to change the gasket or can it be done without draining down ?

Balancer cover, ah yes, it's 6" higher than the sump so it's not going to drain but there will be a small amount lubing it I'm sure. Put some newspaper down before you take it off.

Thanks, I might put the bike on a 1 thick plank so it leans a little more also.
Belt and braces I know.
