Fluid is cheaper than aerosols. Big bottles of fluid are cheaper than small ones. I got 4 litres for about 75 over 3 years ago, using it on 2 bikes regularly throughout the winters & its still half full. Applying with a spray gun is both most economic & most effective way.
How often do you apply with the gun and how do you cover the discs around the brakes?

I know this may seem like heresy, but I've started using XCP Rust Blocker.
It performs far better than ACF-50 in tests: https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/reviews/products/the-best-motorcycle-corrosion-protectants/tested-xcp-rust-blocker-corrosion-protectant-review.

Interesting read and might give it a try. I used acf50 for years but stopped using it last year when I found it didnt seem to be offering the same protection as it once did. Could be that I had a bad bottle

I did it very thoroughly 2 weeks ago. I put a lot on and try to avoid washing it off if possible!

Thru' winter if I wash the bike with any cleaning agent I'll re-spray it & wipe excess off with a cloth. It gets that if they've salted the roads. Otherwise for normal road dirt I just wash with water & wipe it over with a cloth & a little ACF once bike is dry.

For spraying I wrap the discs & calipers in bin bags taped up with masking tape. Anywhere near tyres, discs or calipers I do by hand with cloth & ACF.

Ive just finished applying the first cost of the season. Borrowed a compressor and it worked a treat. Heres my bike with the tyres and brakes covered.

It worked a treat for the guy in the video anyway....mine sprays a single jet initially, you have to keep pumping it for the fine mist to start, this ends up  either wasting product or having gloopy areas to be mopped up afterwards, the acf50 was heated up beforehand btw, kind of disappointed, maybe it works best on hot sunny days instead of in near freezing garages.
