wont start

went try start street triple 2014 today have ride wont start
turns over very fast fuel pump make noise when turn ignition on just wont fire up
fresh petrol
heard stators going wrong could this be  rotar pick up stoping it from sparkig
not checked plugs yet see spark
any advise thanks

Hi , my 675 15 plate did the same it turned out to be the alarm. Has your fitted with one.  Trev

Yes could be the pick up by the alternator aka Crank Position Sensor CPS.

Lots of threads on here and triumph675.net including a few tests.

Crank Position Sensor that thought come to me straight away tim
bike was running excellent week ago

Meter it, should be around 200 ohms. If it's short or high resistance then it's effed. However if it reads OK it still might be toast. They are wired in with the stator harness so its one expensive bit from Trihmph, You can get them separate from the stator but not from Triumph, and you'll need to cut then resolder wires.

BTW If you have the tank up and airbox off to check for a spark, the tip over sensor can be disconnected and it will be as if it's not tipped over . If you have it connected it has to be horizontal otherwise it stops it firing.

Never had this problem so do they just stop working when fancy ride out

The tip over sensor on my 09 is on the airbox, so if you take airbox off and lay it over the side to get a plug out it wont spark unless you disconnect the sensor.
