Tail tidy
« on: December 10, 2018, 11:14:20 AM »
Hi all. Has anyone got one of these tail tidys off eBay?

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F162897996921

Always had evotech on other bikes but wondering if they are really worth the 100 extra.

Thanks in advance

No, but I was looking to get a tail tidy for my KTM, and I emailed the seller about the unit.
It turns out that it's made of powder-coated mild steel.
I've seen what happens to powder-coated mild steel when rust gets a hold - it ends up a terrible mess.
I spent the extra on an Evotech unit, and it's worth it.
The Evotech is made from powder-coated aluminium, and is a work of art.
Just my two pennyworth.

I've had evotech tail tidies on all my bikes - top products, and excellent customer service, in my experience.

Triumph: Rear sets, LED indicators, anodised reservoirs, bar end mirrors, short levers.
Evotech: Tail tidy, Shark Fin, Rad Guard. Rear foot peg blanking plates.
MCT tuned suspension. Lithium battery

A bit late here but I bought a tail tidy sold byb j-tech for about the same price for my 2016 triple.

Seems fine. Fitted ok and I was quite impressed that all the different fixing bolts came in seperately labelled bags.

I fitted a used Evotech to mine yesterday and they are a lovely well made bit of kit. You can see why they are so expensive. Picked mine up used for 70 which was a bit more palatable.
