Braided brake hose
« on: December 26, 2018, 09:55:22 AM »
Merry Christmas guys.
I want to replace the brake hoses on my bikes, ( Striple and CB750F2 ). Im looking for stainless steel braided hoses. Some of these hoses are really expensive, but Ive seen some cheap ones on eBay.
Can anyone recommend mid range price hoses that are suitable and reliable. Im not a boy racer and dont do track days but obviously safety comes first. :087:

The Striple comes with braided hoses as standard. For Jap bikes I've always used HEL lines, great quality at a good price.

It all depends on whether you're looking for a ready-made or DIY solution.
I make up my own hoses using Goodridge components.
I use Goodridge stainless braided line with 600 Series fittings.

I find the original hoses a bit dull. Id like something to make them stand out more.

Is your Street Triple ABS or non ABS, have not seen aftermarket replacements for ABS bikes. I used Spiegler hoses on my non ABS Tiger, stock hoses were braided steel but I replaced the front master cylinder with one from a Speed Triple and added risers. Spiegler made custom ones with the fittings and length I needed.

I forgot about HEL, they are nice quality too. Looks like they make hoses for non ABS 13+ Street Triples in a bunch of colors.

Venhill are local (to Box Hill) and good guys to deal with. They also use rotating banjos and joints so you don't have to worry about twisting.
