I stripled my helmet
« on: January 11, 2019, 03:51:31 PM »
Hi,

When I got the 2011 phantom black street triple, I also needed riding gear, because I'm kinda new to biking.c
I am an older guy (52) and I am wearing glasses, so as a helmet I wanted a flip up helmet with an integrated sun visor and with pinlock.  In the motorshop I tried some ( schuberth C4, LS2 FF325, HJC etc....) but surprisingly enough, one of the cheaper helmets just seamed to sit the most comfortable on my head . ( guess I'm a cheap ass  :008: )
It was the GIVI X.16 Voyager. I guess not the most sexy one, but flip ups never are.

So I decided to personalise it a little , or better , to stripelize it : I am happy with the result.

And it became "safer and better visible " because the used decals are fluorescent white

Wow, een beetje vlaams  :001:

Thanks for the compliments.
I got these decals from here : https://mayastickers.com/triumph-street-triple-logo-decal-stickers?search=street%20triple&description=true
You can choose different colours and sizes.
I had to wait  a month so pretty long.

Of course anyone can make about every decal if you have a small cutterplotter : f.e.  brother scan n cut cm300. I had to design and make the nose decal for my 1980 lotus esprit S2.2, which is unobtainable, and I had it cut by someone I know. The decalpaper and transfertpaper is cheap .
But since the street triple and triumph decals were so easy available , I didn't bother making them myself.
