Touch Up Paint for Swingarm
« on: February 05, 2019, 04:57:18 PM »
Hi all,

Have very cleverly managed to scrape the paint off the R/H end of my swing arm. :230:  :430:

Does anyone know what the paint code is and whether or not touch pots exist?

Thanks

Joe.

But how do you guys go around the finish? It's not a flat surface... Swingarm has a grain to it...

Just build it up in layers and stipple it with a scouring pad.
Then apply the clear lacquer when your happy with it.
Somebody with more knowledge than me will have the best idea, mine was only a small scrape.

Roger

It's for touching up scratches and chips. It tends to settle quite nicely into the damage and as the colour is a good match you have to look really hard to see where it's been touched up.
I doubt it would be much good for painting large areas but you can get rattle cans for that.
