Hello all!
« on: March 24, 2019, 08:18:12 PM »
Hi all,

Picking up a new to me 14 plate striple R with 5k on the clock Wednesday and can't wait! Was on the market for my next bike and thought I'd swing by and try the striple out, 45 minutes later I was in love and put the deposit down the next day. Looked at an RX and preferred the back end of the R over it. Wednesday can't come quick enough!

I live in Cambridgeshire in the UK, been riding for 7 years and would love to have some ride outs some time!

Cheers  :031:

Welcome Morbid,
Great choice of bike and forum. It amazes me that there are so many low mileage STriples around. I cant keep off mine, it is so addictive to use.
My 2015 model had 1100 miles when I got it in July, now on about 6800

Welcome. My 09 had less than 3k up when I got it in 2012 - previous owner did less than 1000 miles a year (fool Haha!). Now got more like 33k. Like you, I fell in love after being on it for less than half an hour. I love the original "factory streetfighter" look (underseat pipes and round lights) which may well be an age related phenomenon having got into bikes in the 80s/90s but they're all cracking bikes from the round eye up to the new RS.

The only V8 I'm likely to own comes in one litre tetrapaks and tastes like celery.
