Scottoiler installation on a 765 RS?
« on: May 15, 2019, 10:06:24 AM »
Hi All

Has anyone taken the step of installing a Scottoiler to their 765 yet? I seem to be using mine a lot for commuting and could do with more time for chain maintenance!
I don't just count beans, I also understand the commercial significance of beans!

I know Scottoiler are the market leader but take a look at https://www.tutorochainoiler.com/  Very easy to install (gravity feed so no electrics etc) and they supply mounting brackets specifically for the Street Triple.

These ST fitting bits are not in their online catalogue so you have to ask about them. Installation info here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/x4aevm4ebx9d1jn/AAAUhuyNWGp_u9luDoaY38AJa/Triumph%20Street%20Triple?dl=0&subfolder_nav_tracking=1

I have no personal experience with the Tutoro or any business link to them, I'm just passing on someone else's recommendation.

interesting thought, I did have a look round mine and wonder about a Scottoiler but decided against it as (I thought) the install would look poor and I don't do enough miles on it to justify it.

I have one on my Tiger though, and they are great. Been using them for over 20 years on various bikes.
