« on: May 20, 2019, 04:16:14 PM »

I took this panel off and then fit it back thinking it was all good, but I cant unlock it now, how can I get under seat?? couple of people from Facebook reckon I maybe able to pull the seat up enough to get Allen key to unscrew that panel, any suggestions??

and please no comments about the new tyre with the weird scrubbing marks, already been laughed at about that!

Try by pushing Down (hard) on the back of the seat (the locking mech is under there) while trying to unlock, may help to get someone else to lean on it while you try to unlock it.

Another vote for green ninja's method, it should release it. Looks like you've cracked your seat cowl thou.

Pushing down wont help if you didnt clip the cable in the retainer, you'll need to prise the seat up from the other side and then push something in to press againstthe outer cable to stop it moving while you turn the key.

Ok so it was quiet easy, i got access to the hex screw holding the front of that fairing, just lift up the seat as far as it will go, once that screw is off you have access to the mechanism, I'd forgotten to secure it properly, job done, hope this helps a future tool out
