« on: August 11, 2019, 09:20:42 PM »
Hi again,I've got some Arrow  exhaust  pipes for my triple but they dont have baffles in and are quite loud. How do I go about putting baffles or db killers in as their doesn't  seem to be a place to secure them.

Well I googled pics and it looks like circlips to retain which isnt uncommon.   Must be able to buy some on Evilbay or from Arrow

The baffles are held inplace by large circlips.  Parts appear to be available from here

https://www.motorcycleraceparts.co.uk/arrow-exhausts-and-silencers-uk/arrow-spare-parts/?bikemake=1413

but they're not cheap.

I guess it's a choice of paying the retail price; living with the noise, or waiting for a pair of used baffles to come up for sale.  Unless you're good with steel and can fabricate something?

Edit.  If you don't find any second hand baffles and you have a local engineering shop (are there any such things still alive and well in this country?) that could copy them, I'd happily let you use one of mine as a pattern.  Or I could measure and draw out the dimensions?

I have some stainless steel baffles that I made for another forum member who sold his bike just before I finished them.

The circlips are internal 40mm, I only have normal circlips not stainless.

PM me if you are interested.
