If you ride your bike all year around
« on: August 14, 2019, 11:32:57 AM »
you know keeping it in tip top shape is a constant battle, especially if you service it yourself too, not a complaint, but its nothing like looking after a car, anyway- thats all i wanted to say

Yep, I agree ....... but it IS really rewarding when the bike sits proudly gleaming in a crowd of dull, plastic covered pocket rockets.  I'm not in the least bit ashamed to admit that I'm a fair weather rider of what our transatlantic cousins might describe as a "trailer queen"!

WHOA!?!  A 10 year old bike with fewer than 6 thousand miles?  WHAT?  Are you insane?   Do you ever do anything other than clean, polish and look at it?  YOU NONCE!

HAHAHA!  ME, I smile (probably smugly) when other people stand and look at it with some respect and say "Hmmmm ..... that's in REALLY nice shape for its age - looks good!"

I do, though, recognise that I am very fortunate to have a lot of bikes so that I can choose what and when I ride and I am slowly getting  there with progress towards a tidy workshop where they can be stored/cleaned/fettled and fixed!

Thanks to Bucksfizz I'll be trying this stuff as my ACF50 stash is depleted!

Nothing wrong with ACF 50 and I LOVE the finish it provides, but I thought I'd give this a try based on the results I've seen of a couple of test write-ups.
