ECU Flash
« on: August 22, 2019, 06:39:47 PM »
Ok so I have a guy close by to where I live who is meant to be brilliant at ECU remapping. Proper sound bloke. My question is this will I really notice a difference in the bike to warrant 350, have any of you guys had it done and if so what types of gains in hp, throttle response etc have you had.

Thanks in advance

Have you modified the bike? Unless you've seriously altered things; different cams, straight through system etc then no you won't notice a difference except in fuel consumption.

Slip On, or full system?

If Slip On, leave the ECU alone...

In which case you don't know if it's already been remapped so definitely a waste of money  :087:

Best test - assuming standard sprokets, will it lift the front in second gear just on throttle?

Hardly a test lol
As said if its just had a slip-on exhaust then wouldnt waste the money
Its only when you get the race air filter, de-cat headers that it starts to make a difference

Much better off spending the money on abit more aggressive gearing if you dont go on the motorway that much

Thanks for all the replies, I think the answer is clear.....Dont bother! I love my striple was just wanting to get the max from her and saw this as a cheap option but like you say without spending money on a full system etc it aint worth it. Thanks again much appreciated.
