Number Plate Relocation - Swingarm
« on: August 23, 2019, 04:34:34 PM »
Hi Guys,

I wondered if any of you have relocated your number plate to the swing arm, under the rear subframe or elsewhere?

Wanted to clean up the back end - i already have an R&G tidy but wondered whether anyone had any success with something a little different?

Cheers
Daz

What year is yours?
Ive had them in very cheeky places pre 2013 but If youre going to do it I would recommend a full size plate

Perfectly legal & Never gets seen by any cameras but does get a lot of attention from the ruler carriers

Mine is a 2009, not sure if that helps?

Cant quite see how that works. Is it a bracket that moves the plate under the seat?

Its a bracket bolted to the rear pillion footpeg
And relocates the plate there, just take off your plate and see roughly where you can fit it and not affect suspension travel too much

You can run a long one sideways.

Then a bit of pipe wrap. . . Brown seat cover. . . :004:

It's half way to getting leather panniers with tassles.

Im 34, so Id hope Im nowhere near any of those things.

Im just making the bike more street than track.

Thruxton R is on the list, but until then, the street will do
