Opinion on wrapping (not the music)
« on: September 10, 2019, 05:50:57 PM »
Hi all,

Im considering getting my bike wrapped in that clear protective wrapping like 3m Ventureshield or Eazi-guard. Just want to keep the paint as good as possible so Im worried about chips and scuffs. Anyone here have experience and can advise the pros/cons? And if anyone has had their bike done by Easigrip Farringdon or Invisible Patterns Wigan Id love to hear about your experiences.

Just get the 3M kit if you only want the key bits covered, and do it yourself...very easy  :028:

I got strategic bits done by local signwriter guy who specialises in autos.  Was cheap and invisible.  Some people are just worth paying.

ive wrapped a few parts on my street triple, side cowls, designs on tank, its fairly easy, ideally you would have two people though, and can be tricky to get corners to wrap seamlessly, overall im a big fan wrapping, and rapping!

Hi,

I got a clear matt kit for my matt grey bike from Invisible Patterns, not cheap at 50 for 6 pre cut shapes, but didnt want gloss which was what most shops only sold.

I covered the tank sides where my knees touch, tank pad area & the bits left over were used on the pillion seat cover (as I kick it each time I get on & off).  My mate fitted them as hes in the Trade.

Good investment in my opinion as keeps the matt finish tidy.
